• Mink: No minks are harmed or killed to make the mink lashes. The mink is by far
the superior lash extension lash. Mink are the preferred lash of celebrities. The
mink are black, shiny and soft. They are weightless and quite comfortable. They have
a luscious feathered look once applied. Mink require less fills.
• Silk: Silky eyelash
extensions are a super fine synthetic lash that mimics human hair. They are not as
stiff as the plastic synthetics but do not give the thickness that mink eyelash extension
and synthetic extension can. They are great for anyone who has very thick lashes
naturally and desire only length and curl.
What is the difference between the traditional false lashes and the new extensions?
The
main differences are the:
• Adhesive formula ( eyelash extensions are applied with a much stronger adhesive
available only to licensed professionals)
• Lash type (eyelash extensions are a higher
quality eyelash)
• Application technique (eyelash extensions are applied and dried
one at a time. It is a much more time consuming and complex process)
• Lash appearance
(properly applied eyelash extensions can look natural and don’t have the obvious
glued on look)
• Lasting duration (eyelash extensions last much much longer than traditional
false eyelashes)
Traditional false lashes are in a strip or multiple lashes knotted together and applied
onto the eyelid using a hard drying adhesive. They often cause discomfort and sometimes
natural lashes to fall out. They lasted only a few days to a week and looked unnatural
and felt heavy. Some salons called the multiple flare lashes extensions or individual
lashes but they are not individual at all. They can cause a great deal of damage
to natural lashes. Please refer to our video on our main eyelash extension page.
Eyelash Extensions are applied with an adhesive that dries quickly and very little
is used allowing lashes to stay flexible and bouncy. Mink, silk and human hair lashes
have the most flex. Because the bonding is to each individual lash and not to skin,
extensions will last significantly longer than traditional false lashes or flares.
. Extensions can look and feel like human lashes.
How long do these lashes last? When
applied properly they last up to 2 months, depending on the natural growth cycle
of your eyelashes and the expertise of the technician applying the best eyelash extensions.
Our bonding agent is specially formulated with a unique waterproof bonding agent
to last. Other glues that you can purchase at the drug store are hard, crack and
do not hold up. If you get fills monthly you can have your lashes for months or years.
How
often should touch ups be done? We recommend getting a touch up every two to four
weeks. A natural eyelash falls off every 40 days on average due to the natural growth
cycle and is naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. At any given moment,
each of your natural eyelashes is at a different stage of its life cycle. A touch
up or fill is needed to replenish the lashes that have completed their life cycle
and fill in the eyelashes that have lost an extension. Touch ups and eyelash extension
fills generally take a short time and are relatively inexpensive. Synthetics require
twice as many fills and more maintenance than natural fibers, minks, human hair and
silk.
Can eyelash mascara be applied on extensions? Mascara is not needed with extensions.
However, if the client must have the mascara look, only extension mascara can be
used on the tips after the clear coating sealer. Waterproof mascara along with any
type of oil based mascara will dissolve the bonding agent and cause the extensions
to fall off. Waterproof also leaves a residue and makes fills/touch-ups impossible.
If you want a bold mascara look you can have the extra thick extensions with a thick
sealer applied.
How long does it take? Your eyes are closed the entire time and it
is not uncommon to fall asleep. It takes at least an hour or 2 hours for mink eyelash
extensions Las Vegas.
Please come in with clean dry lashes the day of the procedure/fill. If you wear waterproof mascara, please do not use for several days before your appointment because it leaves a film that makes the extensions fall off. You can use water based mascara instead.
Please remove contacts prior to your eyelash extension appointment. You may put them back in several hours after your eyelash extension procedure so please bring your prescription glasses if you have to wear glasses to drive.

Eyelash Extension After Care Instructions
Do not get new lash extensions wet or use a steam room for 48 hours after application or after fill.
Do not rub eyes or extensions.
• This will cause breakage. If you have an itch, look in the mirror and use a q-tip
around the extensions.
• Never full on rub or scratch your new lashes.
DO NOT USE AN EYELASH CURLER. Only the low heat eyelash extension curler should be used.
• Your eyelash extensions are already curled and an eyelash curler will not make
them curl more.
• Traditional curlers kink the extensions permanently and make them
look tangled.
Do not use oils, Vaseline, oily eye makeup remover or any product on lashes that contains oil.
Repeated steam room visits will loosen lash bond.
When drying eyes after bathing or swimming simply pat your eyes do not rub with towel.
Absolutely no mascara. Only eyelash extension approved gentle mascara can be used over the clear coating sealer. Many types of mascara have chemicals that will melt the adhesive.
If one of your extensions loosens from the lash and is partly off do not pull it.
• Return to your extension artist to deal with all lash issues.
• If you start pulling
or picking you may pull out your natural lashes.
Synthetic lashes are stiffer than the natural Mink lashes. They may feel heavy for a day or two.
Fills are required to maintain these great new lashes.
• Our natural lashes shed constantly.
• In fact our natural lashed have only about
a 40 day average life span before they shed.
• A natural eyelash can take up to 3
months to shed but there is no way to determine what point each lash is during its
life cycle. We estimate an average of 40 days.
• Make your fill or touch up appointments
every 2-4 weeks.
Detergents and harsh chemicals may build up in the base of your lashes after showering
and washing face. This may compromise the adhesive and cause irritation to the lid
area at the base of your lashes.
• We are used to scrubbing our lashes and fully drying
them with a towel. This isn’t possible when extensions are applied and should be
avoided. It is important that you cleanse the lid area carefully avoiding the extensions
with a Q-Tip and warm water after washing or showering.
• If you desire a mascara
look with your extensions, we can apply the lashes with a light mascara look or we
have very good extension black mascara coating that provides a black mascara look.
•
If you have lost more than 50% of your lashes the fill will take longer than 30 minutes.
**** You will need to come in more often for fills with plastic synthetic lashes.
If you have oily skin, you will require more fills. If you sleep on your face, your
lashes will weaken and you will require fills sooner.
TIP - A small amount of tear free baby shampoo diluted in some water is a safe and gentle eye makeup remover. It does not harm the eyelash extensions. Make sure its very diluted in water. Do not use it undiluted. Don’t buy into expensive oil free eye makeup removers or “eyelash extension eye makeup remover”. Baby shampoo is the ticket.
WARNING!!!! Eyeliner pencil is full of wax and oils. It will make your lashes fall off. Use a liquid eyeliner, powder or a solid cake eyeliner that you wet with a brush and water. The creamy gels and spreadable tubs of eyeliner usually contain oils and waxes. So beware because wax and oil with destroy the adhesive of the extensions. This goes for heavy eye creams and the creamy eye shadows too.
Eyelash extension care boils down to two important things. Leave them alone (don’t touch them) and keep oil off them.
